日本国際映画祭（JPIFF）は、伝統と革新が交差する地、日本から発信される新たな映画の祭典です。東京で世界中のクリエイターを繋ぎ、未だ見ぬ「光」を日本の中心東京のスクリーンに映し出します。私たちは、映画という共通言語を通じて、国境や文化を超えた対話の場を創造し世界平和の祭典にします。

The Japan International Film Festival (JPIFF) is a festival of innovative films from Japan where tradition and innovation intersect. We will connect creators from all over the world in Tokyo and project unseen "light" on the screens of Tokyo, the center of Japan. Through the common language of film, we will create a place for dialogue that transcends borders and cultures, and make it a festival of world peace.

MISSION

Welcome to the Japan International Film Festival (JPIFF). JPIFF is more than just a festival; it is a global celebration of cinematic artistry bridging the East and the West. Located in Japan, a country with a profound history of storytelling and visual arts, we are dedicated to discovering and promoting visionary filmmakers from every corner of the globe.

Tomohisa Ishigami (VJ113)

A VJ and Film Director who directed the documentary film starring MIYUKI.

MIYUKI (Miyuki Shigeta)

A renowned Japanese celebrity, university professor, and lead actress who also serves as a Tourism Ambassador for Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

Inspired by their documentary film winning the Humanitarian Angel Film Award at a prominent international film festival, both founders felt the powerful energy of cinema to contribute to world peace. This profound shared experience and strong desire for peace led them to co-found JPIFF, creating a platform to transmit this energy from Japan to the world.

A Celebration of Peace

While peace is a central theme of our festival, our focus is not on anti-war sentiments but on creating a "Celebration of Peace." In an age where anyone can create films, our hope is that through this celebration of peace and the magic of cinema, everyone's hearts will be filled with happiness.

This peace film festival was born from the love with Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.

この映画祭は宮城県石巻市との愛が生んだ平和映画祭です。
